Tauranga Māori Cultural Tour

Summary

This tour provides an immersion in the local communities and landscape. 

A visit to a Māori tribal meeting place to meet the tangata whenua and be welcomed into the meeting house. This is followed by morning tea, and a cultural performance of song, dance, war dance (haka).

From the cultural show you drive high up on NZ's largest archaeological complex to glorious panoramic views of coastal Bay of Plenty, and observe the ancient terraced hill tops which were once Māori fortifications. A visit to the town of Te Puke known as the Kiwifruit Capital of the Worls follows, where hosts will welcome you before you can wander the main street of a rural NZ town before returning to the Ship.
